Observing Children and Adolescents: How and What to Look For
Service Description
Participants will discover skills for observing children/youth and how to use those observations to comprehend behavior and create appropriate programming throughout this course. Participants will gain an understanding of the objective of observation during this workshop. - Acquire a variety of ways for observing children/youth. - Develop the ability to be objective, descriptive, and deliberate. - Participants will be guided through an interactive presentation that will help them appreciate the critical nature of objectivity in observation. - Participants will examine effective observation tactics and practice observing and recording their observations in order to enhance their ability to make them. - Participants will have the opportunity to exchange expertise by concentrating on a single aspect of observation. - Participants will apply their newly acquired knowledge to a variety of circumstances.
